Thespians, with a capital T, refer to members of the International Thespian Society.

The Thespian Society is the world’s largest honor society recognizing excellence in high school theatre arts. There are many famous members of the Thespian Society such as Tom Hanks, Val Kilmer, James Marsters, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Stephen Schwartz. Thespians can be performers and/or production and technical theatre students.

Each year, NC Thespians participate in the Indiana State Thespian Festival as well as the International Thespian Festival. Students compete in performance and technical categories and those receiving a “Superior” rating at State may proceed the the International Festival. Thespians also have the opportunity to audition for 30-60 colleges in a single setting and win thousands of dollars in scholarships. In years past, there have been multiple full ride scholarships awarded to students.
